General Crime

General Crimes is any type of crime; this includes, but is not limited to: arson, assault, burglary, elder abuse/neglect, fraud, harassment, hate crimes, homicide, identity theft, kidnapping, property crime, robbery, stalking, theft, terroristic threats, and vehicular homicide or injury.

Basic Services

Crisis Intervention:
24 Hour Crisis Phone Line.

Walk-in:
Walk-in services during business hours by trained staff and volunteers.

Information and Assistance:
For persons who have been victimized by a crime. We will attempt to meet the victim’s self defined needs. Assistance includes; Resources for security and protection, food, clothing, household items, furniture, and personal supplies. Assistance in developing individualized safety plans.

Assistance in navigating the “system”
Referrals, transportation, and accompaniment to other services such as housing, medical, mental health, financial assistance, child care, or financial institutions.

Legal Advocacy/Criminal Justice System Intervention Projects:
Assistance with Protection Orders, restitution, Reparations or visitation arrangements. Accompaniment to or tracking of criminal process for the victim. Advocacy for the victim in court and with officers of the court. Developing a community-based response to protect the victim.

School, Community, and Professional Training:
Speakers available to provide education on various issues related to crime prevention.

Internships/Volunteer Opportunities:
Positions available to assist in providing advocacy and gain work experience in the process.
