Outreach Volunteer Opportunities
Support survivors in your local community. To volunteer, contact an Outreach Office nearest you.
Administrative Support (Requires 80 Hours of Training)
- Office Records Assistant: Assist staff in maintaining statistics and information for reporting.
- Phone Support:Answer calls, refer calls to appropriate individuals, take messages, assist with data entry, make copies and perform general office duties.
Work with Children (Requires 80 Hours of Training)
- Women’s Support Group Assistant: Work with children during the Women’s Support Group or for special projects as needed.
- Children’s Support Group Assistant: Provide guidance and supervision during the weekly Children’s Support Group.
Legislative Advocates (Requires 2 Hours of Training)
- Court Companion: Attend criminal court hearings documenting criminal case activity to ensure system and offender accountability.
- Legislative Action Worker: Advocate through letter writing campaigns, telephone tree, and special projects.
Fundraising Assistance (Requires 0-1 Hours of Training, May Not Need Background Check)
- Direct fundraiser: Solicit items and resources from local individuals and businesses as needed.
- Table Hostess: Staff tables at fundraisers.
- Donation Assistant: Help in organizing donations.
- Raising Awareness: Distribute brochures, posters and flyers in area businesses.
- Truck Availability: Provide a pick-up truck to assist in moving donations.
Maintenance Support
- Maintenance Assistant: Painting or assisting with office repairs.
