Honoring Men of Courage

Father's Day is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. What better time to honor the men in our families and communities? While we often hear about thousands of women abused by men in our community every year, we hear much less about the hundreds of thousands of men who are shining examples of strength and security for their families. Organizations like the Minnesota Men's Action Network and 1in6.org, and events like the annual Men's Rally at the Minnesota State Capitol on Women's Action Day help draw attention and recognition to the countless men working to change the faces around those fighting against violence and oppression. You can help prevent violence and abuse in our communities by honoring the men in your life this Father's Day. Please help us honor these Men of Courage by making a gift to Someplace Safe in their name. Whether it's your father, son, grandfather, brother, husband, in-law, uncle, friend--or you--we look forward to honoring men and their commitment to keeping our communities safer. Please join us today and help support the work of Someplace Safe! When you make your gift, simply check the 'Add a Dedication' box, and add the address of the person you would like to honor, along with a personal message. We will send a handwritten card to your honoree, including your message.
