Give YOUR Max to Someplace Safe November 14!

Someplace Safe is one of many nonprofit organizations throughout the state that will once again ask Minnesotans to display their record-breaking generosity by donating to their favorite causes and schools online at www.GiveMN.org during the fifth annual "Give to the Max Day" on November 14."Give to the Max Day is the perfect opportunity to support the causes you support and care about," said Becki Jordan, Someplace Safe Director of Development. "Last year we were blown away by the support Someplace Safe received from our communities in just one day. And this year, we are thrilled to announce that an anonymous donor has already pledged a $2,000 matching gift to get us started!"Monetary donations to Someplace Safe will directly benefit local victims and survivors of crime and their families, across the nine counties served by the agency. "Give to the Max Day is about coming together and supporting our local nonprofits in a fun and exciting way," said Jordan. This year, Someplace Safe representatives will again be set up at both Someplace Safe Thrift Store locations in Alexandria and Morris to assist donors in making their online gifts. On November 14, if you give an online gift to Someplace Safe while shopping in either store, you will even receive a special Give to the Max Day coupon!During last year''s Give to the Max Day, 53,339 people made donations through www.GiveMN.org. The result: $16.3 million raised for 4,381 Minnesota nonprofits and schools, whose missions range from feeding the hungry to protecting the environment, from teaching young students to promoting the arts.
