Student Interns and Service Learning

Earn college credit while serving your community. To apply, complete a Volunteer and Internship Application, or contact a Community Advocacy office near you to discuss available opportunities.

The Stevens Community Advocacy Office works closely with the University of Minnesota, Morris (UMM). The office can host up to two interns per semester or summer session. Students work with their academic adviser or supervisor and the local Advocate to plan, secure and complete an Internship worth 2-6 credits. UMM and Someplace Safe also partner on projects through the Service Learning program. Students volunteers interested in unforgettable, hands-on learning should contact the UMM Office of Community Engagement or the Stevens Advocacy Office for more information. Contact your local Advocacy Office for Internship opportunities available in your area!
